MWCA 2017: Recap!

It’s been two weeks since we came back from San Francisco and we’re excited to share everything that we saw and experienced at the Wireless Repair Expo at MWCA. We were so happy to be premier sponsors at the Wireless Repair Expo and have our very own booth where customers and attendees could come and chat with us. Traffic was lighter than last year as far as repair shop customers, however we did engage more productively with the customers that attended.  Hopefully show traffic will increase next year when the event takes place in L.A. Here is an overview of all the fun stuff that happened at MWCA

The ReVamp booth was up and running Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday presenting all the brand accessories we carry from Tessco Technologies. Attendees got a chance to meet the manufacturers and see what these accessories are all about. 

We were happy to display some of our manufacturer partners like: Nite Ize, GEAR4, Urbanista, UAG, Case Mate, Mycharge, Jabra, Ventev, Incipio and Speck. Visitors were able to see D3O in action and play with the waterfall cases from Casemate.

We also got the chance to stream the Apple live event where they showcased the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. People stopped by to check out our accessories and get a glimpse of the new Apple products on our screens.

On day 1 and 2 of the Wireless Repair Expo, there was a variety of presentations led by presidents, founders and CEO’s of repair companies. Things kicked off on day 1 with a panel presentation led by Jeremy Willis, Director of Strategic Partnership of AGiRepair. The presentation “In it to win it!” had speakers from UbreakIfix, Samsung, Katalyst and iQmetrix.

 

On day 2, Shiv Dawadi, President of Apptoe, had a presentation on customer engagement.

Later, Richard Stiennon, Chief Strategy Officer of Blancco Technology Group talked about used smartphones and the data privacy dangers that lurk within.

To end the second day of the event, Pasi Pihlman, VP of Sales at Piceasoft, led a presentation about device life cycle solutions and customer retention.

Case Station was offering the opportunity to design your own phone case step by step and we got to try it out ourselves! Other companies that focus on VR technology were also at the event letting people test out their products and the Sprint booth brought their very own robot for people to see. We made a MWCA recap video and so you could get an inside look at everything that happened at the event.

The official repair party on Wednesday night was a hit. We got to meet customers and we even had a ReVamp Wholesale ice sculpture which we were all very excited about seeing. We want to thank all our customers for attending the event, you were the ones that made it memorable!

We’re so happy that we had the chance to go to MWCA this year and we are already looking forward to next year’s event in L.A. We hope to see you there!
