Battling Static-Super Hero Style

We had a poll going in the office yesterday about who each of our favorite super villains was. The answered varied from Shedder of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” to Magneto of “The X Men,” and even Joffery Baratheon from “Game of Thrones.”

I’m pretty sure if we were to ask the iPhone 5S screen assembly or iPhone 5C  screen assembly the same question, the answer would be static.

Unfortunately, iPhone 5S’s and 5C’s have a higher sensitivity to static than it’s iPhones predecessors. Up until recently, we shipped these screen assemblies in a thin bag of bubble wrap, then in an antistatic bag, followed by more bubble wrap. While the antistatic bag curtailed the issues, due to bubble wrap being static prone as well, it didn’t solve the problem.

After breaking for pizza, it was back to the lab again.

With the help of  a bit of research done by our GM, Matt, we found a solution…

Antistatic bubble wrap! Now our customers get the protection of bubble wrap without the worry of our merchandise being exposed to its arch-nemesis. Starting today, you will now see our iPhone 5S and 5C assemblies packaged this way.

What started out as one small victory for ReVamp Wholesale, will be a GIANT improvement for our customers. Please feel free to reach out and let us know what you think!
